摘要：En Venezuela el sistema de partidos ha venido sufriendo transformaciones importantes en el transcurrir de todo el periodo democrático. Estas transformaciones han provocado que el sistema transite por etapas bipartidistas, multipartidistas y ahora de partido predominante. Analizar estas transformaciones es el objeto central de este ensayo, haciendo especial énfasis en el advenimiento del sistema de partido predominante, su vigencia y futuro en el acontecer político venezolano
