摘要：En el texto se abordan las relaciones, casi siempre conflictivas, entre la Universidad Michoacana y las denominadas escuelas libres. Estos problemas tuvieron su origen en los esfuerzos de diversos sectores sociales por imponer sus ideas y proyectos en el ámbito educativo en Michoacán. En el periodo 1921-1938 las escuelas libres se encontraron ante el dilema de quedar al margen de la ley o aceptar el papel rector de la Universidad Michoacana en el ámbito educativo estatal. El artículo muestra algunos aspectos de la resistencia que algunos sectores mostraron ante los intentos del Estado mexicano por alcanzar el dominio exclusivo de la educación superior.
其他摘要：This work reviews the almost always difficult relations between the Universidad Michoacana and the so-called free schools. These problems originated in the efforts of several social groups to impose their educational ideas and projects in Michoacán. During 1921-1938, many free schools faced the dilemma of existing outside the law or accepting the rule of the Universidad Michoacana regarding the state's graduate education issues. This paper shows some aspects of these groups' resistance against the Mexican government's attempts to dominate exclusively graduate education in the state of Michoacán.
