摘要：El artículo ofrece un recorrido por las principales propuestas históricas y antropológicas que han creído encontrar restos de antiguos sacrificios rituales en las fiestas de toros con - temporáneas, así como aquellas discusiones que han surgido en oposición. Estas diserta - ciones se analizan prestando especial atención a las dificultades que se han presentado en legítimos intentos de producir conocimiento y de comprender dichas prácticas. A lo largo de esta revisión se describe la manera en que muchas argumentaciones han dado lugar a fabulaciones; asimismo, se ofrecen alternativas para explicar un fenómeno social de enorme relevancia cultural e identitaria en el suroeste europeo y en el continente americano.
其他摘要：This work offers a review of the main historical and anthropological arguments by scholars that have tried to find evidence of ancient sacrifices in contemporary bullfights, as well as a review of those arguments that do not find such evidence. These arguments are analyzed with special attention to the difficulties that have arisen in serious scholarly attempts to produce knowledge and to understand the above-mentioned practices. Throughout this review I describe how this argumentation has produced intellectual dead-ends and para - doxes. Therefore an alternative explanation is introduced in order to explain this social phenomenon that has enormous cultural and identity relevance in southwest Europe and on the American continents.
