摘要：El presente artículo es una aproximación a las ideas que, desde el mundo académico europeo, se dieron sobre la situación de Europa en el período de entreguerras, es decir, las representaciones, sus esperanzas y pesimismos. Se busca conocer en mayor profundidad las perspectivas con que se observaba y caracterizaba Europa desde algunos sectores intelectuales. Además, se cuestionan las líneas interpretativas que plantean el fenómeno de una guerra civil europea entre 1914 y 1945. Adicionalmente se muestra la diversidad de ideas existente dentro de un sector del mundo intelectual y académico europeo presente en la revista del Royal Institute of International Affairs y su nivel de conciencia sobre los problemas que enfrentaba el viejo continente.
其他摘要：This article explores how the European academic world viewed the situation in Europe between the wars, that is, its representations, hopes, and despair. Its aim is to better understand the perspectives from which various intellectual sectors observed and characterized Europe. It also questions the interpretations that propose the existence of a European civil war between 1914 and 1945. Additionally, the article shows the diversity of ideas that existed within just one sector of the European intellectual and academic world (those present in the journal of the Royal Institute of International Affairs) and their level of awareness regarding the problems facing the continent.
