摘要：Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar los primeros cinco años de la presencia de la Compañía de Jesús en Chile. Los jesuitas, entre 1593 y 1598, se posicionaron como un actor relevante en las dinámicas internas de la sociedad utilizando múltiples estrategias, tales como la traducción de la nueva realidad y el examen del contexto sociopolítico. Éstas serán analizadas enfatizando el cruce del contexto local con la dimensión global a través de las prácticas misioneras.
其他摘要：This text aims to analyze the first five years of the presence of the Society of Jesus in Chile. Between 1593 and 1598, the Jesuits positioned themselves as relevant actors in the internal workings of society by using several strategies, such as the translation of a new reality and the assessment of the sociopolitical context. These will be analyzed while highlighting the intersection between local context and global environment through missionary practices.
