摘要：El presente artículo aborda el problema relaciona - do al carácter científico de la prospectiva, específicamente en su objeto de estudio, planteándose el siguiente problema: ¿es la prospectiva una ciencia?. La respuesta a este problema se plantea en tres partes: Un breve repaso por los orígenes de la futurología, la concepción del futuro para la prospectiva y finalmente se aboca en su objeto de estudio.
其他摘要：This paper focus the problem related to the scientific character of the prospective, especially in its study object, so the problem is: Is the prospective a science?. The answer of this problem it is planted in three parts: first a short review by the origins of the futurology, then the future conception to the prospective and at the end it focus in its study object; everything based in a bibliographic research.
