其他摘要：The author examines health care in public centers of Greater Buenos Aires, the aim of which is attending elemental health problems. She distinguishes between two modes of health service: the totalizing methods and the focalised methods. The first takes into account the socio-cultural and economical context of the patient, while the second considers the biomedical point of view only. The author goes on to analyse the contradiction existing between the modes of attention of the health centres and the objectives of primary health attention, and the difference between the patients needs and what the health centres have to offer. In order to explain these contradictions the author points out the organ-directed view of the biomedical service. She stresses the unfair relationship between therapists and patients, the intrusion of prejudiced valuations, usurious disqualifying methods, incapacity of the professionals to understand cultural and social differences, and the difference in the aims of cultural medical hegemony and those of primary health attention.
