摘要：As alianças entre os castelhanos e os chefes indígenas renderam aos primeiros, vitórias e aos segundos, a preservação de seus domínios. Para viabilizar a administração da Nova Espanha, a Coroa reconheceu os valores aristocráticos e o governo hereditário indígenas, vigentes antes da chegada dos conquistadores. Se esta estratégia fora empregada nas primeiras décadas, ao passar do tempo, os administradores coloniais destituíram as antigas chefias e empossaram novos caciques, mais adequados aos interesses da monarquia Hispânica.
其他摘要：The alliances between the Castilians and the Indian chiefs brought victories to the former, and the preservation of the estates to the latter. In order to render the administration of the New Spain feasible, the Crown acknowledged the aristocratic values and the hereditary government of the Indians in force before the conquerors had arrived. Although that strategy was applied during the first decades, the colonial administrators deposed the ancient chiefs along time, and invested new chiefs who were more in line with the interests of the Hispanic Monarchy.
