摘要：O artigo discute as principais iniciativas da gestão Wolfensohn direcionadas à autorreforma do Banco Mundial e propõe um balanço dos seus resultados. Conclui que a gestão obteve uma vitória política importante ao dividir parte dos críticos do Banco. Suas principais ações, porém, expuseram os limites incontornáveis da autorreforma.
其他摘要：The article discusses the main initiatives of the Wolfensohn directed towards the self-reform of the World Bank and suggests a balance sheet of the results. It concludes that the management obtained an important political victory in dividing part of the Bank's critics. Its main actions, however, exposed the insurmountable limits of self-reform.
