摘要：Fun da men to:. El ob jetivo es co nocer la di fu sión y per cep - ción del Bo le tín Epi de mio ló gi co de la Co mu ni dad de Ma drid (BECAM) en tre los mé di cos de aten ción pri ma ria, con el fin de adap tar la pu bli ca ción al in te rés de sus lec to res. Método: Encues ta te le fó ni ca en tre los mé dicos de pri ma ria de la Co mu ni dad de Ma drid, pre gun tan do por la fre cuen cia de lec tu ra, in te rés y uti li dad de la in for ma ción con te ni da El ta ma - ño mues tral se es ti mó en 346 mé di cos. Se rea li zó un mues treo bie tá pi co por con glo me ra dos en la pri me ra eta pa, con se lec ción alea to ria de 125 cen tros de sa lud y 2,7 mé di cos por cen tro, sien do el 17% coor di na do res de equi po. Se com pa ran los re sul - ta dos en tre mé di cos y coor di na do res me dian te Chi-cua drado y test exac to de Fis her, con Epi-Info v.6. Re sul ta dos: Se rea li zó un to tal de 305 en tre vis tas: 245 mé - di cos y 60 coor di na do res. Sa bían de la exis ten cia del BECAM el 91,5% (IC 95%: 88,1-94,8), y el 27,2% (IC 95%: 21,9-32,5) co no cía más del 50% de los nú me ros edi tados du ran te el año. El 92,4% (IC 95%: 89,4-95,8) lo con si de ra ba in teresante o muy in te re san te, pun tuan do con una me dia de 3,5 so bre 5 su uti li - dad. De las sec ciones fi jas, la me jor va lo ra da es Bro tes Epi dé - mi cos, y de los in for mes, los re lacionados con en fer me dad me - nin go có cia, tu ber cu lo sis y VIH/Sida. Conclusiones: El BECAM es una pu bli ca ción que, aun que no es co nocida am plia men te en tre los mé di cos de pri maria de nues tra Co mu ni dad, cuan do se lee es bien va lo ra da; sien do así un ins tru men to útil de re troa li men ta ción en la Red de Vi gi lan - cia Epi de mio ló gi ca.

A Survey Regarding its Dissemination and Opinion Thereof on Among Primary Care Physicians for the Year 2000 Background: The Au tonomous Com munity of Ma drid Epi - demiological Bu lletin is the main com munications link bet ween epidemiological mo nitoring system and health care pro fessionals. The pur pose of this study is that of as certaining the dis semination and opi nion of this Au tonomous Com munity of Ma drid Epi de - miological Bu lletin among pri mary care physi cians for the pur po - se of adap ting this pu blication to its rea ders? in terests. Met hod: A te lep ho ne sur vey among pri mary care physi - cians in the Au to no mous Com munity of Ma drid, as king how of ten they read the Bu lle tin, the in te rest and use ful ness of the in for ma tion in clu ded in it. The sam ple size was es ti ma ted at 346 physi cians. A two-sta ge sam pling pro cess was ca rried out - by clus ter sam pling in the first sta ge, ran domly se lec ting 125 health care cen ters and 2.7 physi cians per cen ter, 17% being pri mary care team coor di na tors. A com pa ri son is made of the re sults among physi cians and coor di na tors by means of the Chi-squa re and Fis her?s Exact Test met hod, with Epi-Info v.6. Results: A to tal of 305 sur veys were con ducted (245 physi - cians and 60 coor dinators). The re was an awa reness of the exis - tence of the Au tonomous Com munity of Ma drid Epi demiological Bulletin on the part of 91.5% (CI 95%: 88.1-94.8), and 27.2% (CI 95%: 21.9-32.5) were fa miliar with more than 50% of the last is - sues pu blished. A to tal of 92.4% (CI 95%: 89.4-95.8) con sidered the Bu lletin to be in teresting or highly in teresting, gra ding its use - fulness an ave rage of 3.5 on a ma ximum sca le of 5. Of the per ma - nent sec tions, the most highly-va lued was Epi demic Out breaks, those re ports re lated to me ningococcal in fection, tu berculosis and HIV/AIDS being the most highly-va lued. Con clu sions: The Au to no mous Com munity of Ma drid Epi de mio lo gi cal Bu lle tin is a pu bli ca tion which, alt hough not wi dely-known by the pri mary care physi cians in the Com mu - nity, is well-va lued when it is read, thus being a use ful feed - back tool wit hin the Epi de mio lo gi cal Mo ni to ring System.
