摘要：Desde la antigüedad los morteros se utilizaron con fines decorativos y estructurales. Entre ellos están los de yeso, cal, puzolánicos, de cemento Portland y en la actualidad han surgido en el mercado internacional los morteros restauradores de estructura sobre la base del desarrollo de la industria química en la construcción. Sin embargo, la durabilidad de los mismos se puede afectar por el ambiente donde se aplica el producto y su elevado costo limita su utilización para la reparación y rehabilitación de estructuras. La investigación se desarrolló sobre las indicaciones del fabricante del mortero restaurador Cover Fs Structural V/O, producto importado, el cual propone que si se le añade un 50 % de árido grueso el rendimiento del mismo aumentará. Entre los métodos de investigación utilizados está la experimentación y métodos asociados a la matemática y estadística. Se evalúo un árido grueso procedente de la Cantera Antonio Maceo, de la provincia de Matanzas, al mismo se le determinaron las propiedades geométricas y físicas, mientras al mortero resultante de la mezcla se le midieron las resistencias a compresión y a flexión. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que las propiedades del mortero a compresión y flexión varían en dependencia de las edades que fueron medidas en el mortero patrón y experimental.

Was assessed a coarse aggregate quarry from the Antonio Maceo in the province of Matanzas, is determined at the same geometrical and physical properties, while the mortar resulting from the mixture was measured compressive strength and bending. The results showed that the properties of mortar compressive and bending vary depending on the ages that were measured in the control mortar and experimental.
