摘要：El presente artículo muestra los principales resultados de un proyecto de investigación que tuvo por finalidad conocer cómo las y los chilenos construyen socialmente la alteridad del ser-otro mujer, indígena e inmigrante. Específicamente, se aborda la perspectiva de la juventud en relación con los discursos socioimaginarios del mundo adulto y respecto del ser-otro mujer. Uno de los argumentos centrales de este artículo afirma que el consabido machismo forma parte de la identidad chilena, entendida como una construcción socioimaginaria. Y que, producto de este acto identitario fundacional de violencia simbólica, nuestra cultura tradicional finalmente da cuenta de esta aseveración. Sin embargo, se observan en la sociedad chilena contemporánea ciertas continuidades y rupturas en el discurso dominante acerca de una presunta inferioridad de la mujer. En el marco de un mundo globalizado, los y las jóvenes, a través de visiones críticas del pasado y de nuevas prácticas sociales, aceleran un movimiento que, paulatinamente, va cambiando las relaciones de género.
其他摘要：The objective of this article is to present the major results of research of a project which has the knowledge of the end result how Chileans socially construct the otherness of the other woman-being, indigenous and immigrant. Specifically it aboards the perspective of youth in relation to the socio-image of the adult world, respecting the other woman-being. The central argument of this article is to re-affirm that the familiar «machismo » forms a part of the Chilean identity, understood as a social construction and is imaginary, and, as a result of this act of symbolic violence, our traditional culture has finally given this assertion. However, continuities and ruptures on the dominant discourse about the alleged inferiority of women seen in contemporary Chilean society. In the context of a globalized world are the youth who speed up the movement that is gradually changing gender relations, through critical views of the past and new social practices.
