摘要：Estudos brasileiros apontam que cursar o ensino superior é um projeto de indivíduos de diferentes culturas e níveis socioeconômicos. A universidade é vista como uma das possibilidades de alcançar o sucesso no mundo do trabalho, bem como a ascensão social, o que pode levar a escolhas profi ssionais inadequadas. Nesse sentido, revela-se a importância dos processos de orientação profissional para auxiliar indivíduos a realizarem escolhas mais consistentes. O presente estudo buscou as relações entre os interesses profissionais de 81 alunos do ensino médio e os níveis educacionais dos pais, por meio de dois instrumentos, Escala de Aconselhamento Profissional (EAP) e SDS (Self Directed Search) - Busca Auto-Dirigida. Os resultados indicam que os alunos almejam cursar uma universidade e, especialmente os que têm pais de formação até o ensino médio, apresentaram interesses por áreas que caracterizam profissões reconhecidamente tradicionais. Adicionalmente investigou-se a relação entre os instrumentos; foram encontradas correlações significativas e positivas.
其他摘要：Brazilian studies indicate that attending higher education is a project of individuals from different cultures and socioeconomic levels. Higher education is seen by individuals as one of the ways of achieving success in the job market, as well as social ascension, which could lead them to make inadequate career choices. This way career counseling is important, in order to help individuals to make more appropriate choices. This study aimed at investigating relations between the career interests of 81 high school students and their parents' levels of education. Two instruments were used: Career Counseling Scale (Escala de Aconselhamento Profissional - EAP) and Self Directed Search (SDS). The results indicated that most students wanted to attend university and, specially the ones who had parents who had concluded at least high school, showed interests for traditionally valued professions. Additionally, we investigated the relationship between the instruments and the correlations were significant and positive.
