摘要：Com base nas transformações ocorridas no atendimento médico realizado nos hospitais da Irmandade da Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Paulo, entre fins do século XIX e início do século XX, este artigo pretende discutir algumas das características das relações entre saúde e doença no processo de urbanização da cidade.
