摘要：O texto examina a relação entre pesquisa acadêmica e desenvolvimento de políticas públicas voltadas para a preservação da memória educacional. Com esta perspectiva, procura resgatar as iniciativas ligadas à preservação dos arquivos educacionais e analisa a participação de educadores na constituição de uma rede de relações institucionais que, entre os anos de 1940 a 1960, desenvolveu políticas públicas nessa área. Avalia, em seguida, a expansão dos cursos de pós-graduação nos anos 1970, e a retomada das iniciativas do Estado, a partir do final da ditadura militar, apontando os impasses na constituição desse campo de conhecimentos.
其他摘要：This article examines the relationship between academic research and development of public policies for the preservation of educational history and memory. It seeks to recover the initiatives of preservation of educational archives, and analyzes the participation of educators in the creation of an institutional network that had developed public policies in this area between the years 1940 to 1960. This article also evaluates expanding post-graduate courses in the 1970s, and State initiatives in this field since the end of the military government to present day, pointing out the impasses over the constitution of this field of knowledge.
