摘要：Se condujo un programa de educación sanitaria dirigido a apoderados de una escuela básica de El Rosal, comuna de Pinto, Chile. A través de una encuesta diagnóstica se encontró que un 96,5% de apoderados desconocían la palabra zoonosis y un 100% que no sabe su concepto. Por otra parte, un 21% de los apoderados encuestados antes de la intervención reconocían una medida de prevención y un 10,5% reconocían alguna forma de transmisión de enfermedades zoonóticas. Posterior a los talleres educativos el porcentaje de apoderados que reconocían la palabra zoonosis aumentó a un 45,6% y un 19,3% de ellos mencionan el significado de esta palabra correctamente. La intervención fue eficaz en el mejoramiento de conocimientos sobre enfermedades transmitidas por perros y gatos, vías de transmisión y prevención, uso de vacunas y antiparasitarios.
其他摘要：A program of sanitary education directed to the parents of the students of the Elementary School "El Rosal" in Pinto community was conducted. The results obtained from the application of a diagnostic survey showed that 96,5 % of the parents had no knowledge of the "zoonosis" concept and 100% did not know the meaning of the concept at all. On the other hand 21% of the requested parents before the intervention recognized a prevention measure, and 10,5% of them recognized some kind of the transmission forms of zootonic diseases. After the intervention, the number of parents who recognized the word "zoonosis" increased to 45,61%, and up to 19,29% knew the correct meaning of the word. Proper veterinary control and education programs must have priority in the medical centers and sanitary system of the Region. This intervention was successful in improving the knowledge about dogs and cats- transmitting diseases, mechanisms of transmissions and their prevention and about the use of vaccines.
