摘要：O trabalho apresenta os resultados preliminares, de natureza qualitativa, do follow-up da urbanização nas favelas Praia da Rosa e Sapucaia realizada pela Prefeitura Municipal da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro, por meio do Programa Bairrinho, entre 1996 e 1998. Trata-se de um estudo teórico-empírico que deve ser ampliado com a atualização do Censo que antecedeu essa intervenção nas duas favelas visando a verificar em que medida a política destinada às favelas tem alterado as condições de inclusão/exclusão social dos moradores desses locais. Os processos articulados na configuração do fenômeno de inclusão/exclusão urbana colocam-se como orientação central dessa investigação.
其他摘要：This follow-up study presents the preliminary qualitative results of the urbanization of the Praia da Rosa and the Sapucaia slums, implemented by the Prefeitura Municipal of the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, through the Bairrinho Program, between 1996-1998. It is a theoretical and empiric study which will be completed by the updated results of the Census applied before this intervention in the two mentioned slums. The purpose of this study is to verify whether this policy has contributed to modify the condition of social inclusion/ exclusion of the inhabitants of these areas. The process related to the phenomenon of urban inclusion/ exclusion has been guiding this research.
