摘要：Una adecuada formación de los docentes constituye un factor clave para la calidad de los procesos académicos de la universidad, la excelencia profesional y humana de sus egresados, que influye, entre otros aspectos, en el desarrollo económico, social y cultural del país. En esta perspectiva, el presente artículo presenta una revisión conceptual de algunos temas esenciales asociados a la teoría y práctica del profesor universitario, con el fin de colocar en discusión la necesidad de investigar su labor pedagógica. De igual forma, esta revisión del estado del arte puede ayudar a focalizar iniciativas y políticas públicas en educación superior en distintos contextos. Con todo, el trabajo presenta experiencias de formación de los docentes en universidades chilenas y extranjeras, que asumen características también alternativas en su organización y desarrollo. Focaliza su análisis y reflexión en la figura del docente, el entorno universitario y su impacto en la vida académica. Por tanto, revisa algunos factores determinantes en la docencia, tanto externos como internos del aula universitaria.
其他摘要：A suitable formation of teachers is a key factor to the quality of academic processes of the university and also to the professional and human excellence of students graduated from it, which in turn has an impact, among other aspects, on the economic, social and cultural development of the country. From this standpoint, the present article provides a conceptual revision of some essential subjects associated to the theory and practice of the university teacher in order to bring into discussion the need to investigate their pedagogical work. In a similar fashion, this revision of the state-of-theart can be of help in focusing initiatives and public policiesin higher education in different contexts. However, this paper describes teacher formation experiences in Chilean and foreign universities which also have alternative characteristics in their organization and implementation.It focuses its analysis and reflection on the figure of the teachers, the university surroundings and the impact on academic life. Therefore, it reviews some key factors in teaching, both internal and external to the university classroom.
