摘要：Paulo Freire, em vida, instava sempre a seus mais próximos colaboradores que não o repetissem, mas que o reinventassem, em cada novo contexto. A abordagem das "razões oprimidas" é uma tentativa de reinvenção do legado freiriano no campo epistemológico. Assim, este texto retoma o princípio que Paulo Freire desenvolveu em Pedagogia do oprimido - o de que somente os oprimidos podem se libertar e libertar, também seus opressores -, estendendo-o ao campo da teoria do conhecimento e, portanto, demonstrando a vantagem epistemológica dos oprimidos e das oprimidas.

The Oppressed Reasons' approach is a reinvention's attempt of freirian's legacy in the epistemological field. Thus, this text rescue the principle that Paulo Freire developed in Pedagogy of the oppressed - the one that proposes that only the oppressed can liberate themselves and also liberate their oppressors- applying it in the field of knowledge theory and, therefore, demonstrating the epistemological vantage of the oppressed.
