其他摘要：This article is based on empirical data analysing the electoral behaviour of Galicians. The research is centred on the regional elections of 1997 and the general elections of 2000, two political moments that substantiate the present structure of the Galician party system. Using post-electoral studies and the data available in the Galician Political Barometers, we seek to identify the elements and variables that determine the party choice of the voters. The specific focus is to discover the factors influencing voting in the present political panorama and to contrast various analytical perspectives in the political competition scenario of Galicia. This empirical analysis demonstrates the primacy of political factors over sociological determinism.
