摘要：El objetivo del artículo es analizar la percepción que la ciudadanía tiene sobre los políticos y la participación sociopolítica, aplicando técnicas netamente cualitativas (grupos de discusión y entrevistas en profundidad). Los resultados del análisis de los discursos vertidos en los grupos de discusión son: a) la gente se siente más a gusto si es protagonista, pero sólo cuando quiere; b) a pesar de la imagen negativa de los políticos y de las elites sociales, la gente acepta su papel esencial en sociedades complejas y en situaciones de normalidad, pero quiere que le dejen espacio cuando lo pide; c) su modelo implícito de participación se asemeja a lo puntual, pero decisivo (voto y manifestación); y d) recelan de todo aquello que suponga un compromiso a largo plazo y que implique una dedicación mayor de la que están dispuestos a asumir.
其他摘要：The aim of the article is to analyse public perception of politicians and sociopolitical participation, by the application of purely qualitative techniques (focus groups and in-depth interviews). The results of the analysis of the speeches used in the discussion groups are the following: a) people feel more at ease in a main role, but only when they want it; b) in spite of the negative perception of politicians and the social elite, people accept that they play an major role in complex societies and in normal situations, but they want to be given living space when they ask for it; c) their implicit participation model is compared to something isolated, but decisive (vote and demonstration), and d) people are suspicious of anything implying a long-term commitment and a dedication larger than that which they are willing to take on.
