摘要：El profesor Gerardo Reichel Dolmatoff dedicó gran parte de su prolífica labor al estudio del chamanismo. Este ensayo explora la evolución de su pensamiento en torno a ese tema, en el marco de una teoría general del chamanismo. Se destaca su contribución a la etnografía del chamanismo en el Amazonas y a la interpretación de la iconografía de la orfebrería colombiana. Sostiene que Reichel abrió nuevas perspectivas para la interpretación del chamanismo, como eje fundamental del desarrollo de las sociedades complejas de Colombia y como modelo que permite regular las relaciones de la sociedad con su medio ambiente.
其他摘要：Professor Gerardo Reichel Dolmatoff dedicated great deal of his extensive work to the study of shamanism. This essay explores the evolution of his thought on this theme within the framework of a general theory of shamanism. His contribution to the ethnography of shamanism in the Amazon and the interpretation of the iconography of Colombian gold and silver work stand out. It argues that Reichel opened up new perspectives for the interpretation of shamanism, as a fundamental axis of the development of Colombias complex societies and as a model that allows regulating societys relations with its environment.
