摘要：Se presenta un estudio cuyo propósito fue estimar la posesión de teléfonos celulares por parte de estudiantes y docentes de un campus de la Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, México, así como caracterizar sus procesos de interacción social y de interactividad con la información. Para ello, se seleccionó una muestra al azar con 12% del total de estudiantes y 24% del total de docentes a quienes se les aplicó una encuesta para recuperar información sobre tales aspectos. Los hallazgos muestran que 96% de los estudiantes y 97% de los docentes cuentan con un teléfono celular, de ellos, poco más de la mitad de los dispositivos (53% y 66%, respectivamente) son del tipo smartphone. Respecto a la interacción social, los estudiantes señalaron las actividades para llegar a acuerdos, para organizar tareas y para aclarar aspectos escolares como las principales; mientras que los docentes utilizan dicho dispositivo para comunicarse con colegas o para acordar actividades con los estudiantes. Respecto a la interactividad con información, tanto estudiantes como docentes señalaron la búsqueda y recuperación como las principales actividades escolares realizadas desde su teléfono celular. Se vislumbra un amplio potencial de uso pedagógico de los smartphones. Sin embargo, es necesario ampliar las investigaciones para orientar la mediación de estos dispositivos en el proceso educativo universitario.
其他摘要：This article presents a study whose purpose was estimating the possession of cell phones by students and teachers from a campus of the Autonomous University of Baja California, Mexico, as well as characterizing their processes of social interaction and interactivity with information. For purpose, it was selected a random sample (12% of students and 24% of teachers) to whom a survey to retrieve information about such aspects. The findings show that 96% of students and 97% of teachers have at least one cell phone (of which 53% and 66%, respectively, are smartphones). Regarding social interaction, students pointed out activities to reach agreements, organize tasks and clarify school activities as the main uses; while teachers use that device to communicate with colleagues or to arrange activities with students. Regarding interactivity with information, both, students and teachers, mentioned the search and recovery as the main school activities from their cell phones. A vast potential of pedagogical use of smartphones can be seen. However, it is necessary to expand the research in order to guide the mediation of these devices in the University educational process.
