摘要：El ensayo hace hincapié en la importancia de formar profesionales en Ciencias Bibliotecológica y de la Información con las habilidades, destrezas, conocimientos y capacidades para enfrentar el cambio. Se destaca el papel que cumplen las instituciones públicas, en especial las universidades, en formar profesionales idóneos para resolver las necesidades que plantea la sociedad. Se propone una serie de competencias que el estudiantado debe evidenciar para una formación académica y técnica idónea.
其他摘要：This essay emphasizes the importance of training Library and Science of information professionals taking in to account, skills, abilities, knowledge and the capacity to cope with change within society. Then, it highlights the role of public institutions, especially universities, in the training of qualified professionals that meet the needs arising from society. Therefore, it proposes a set of skills that the teacher and student must show and prove to ensure good academic and professional training.
