摘要：El presente artículo se analiza el comportamiento de la mortalidad infantil según regiones socioeconómicas de Chiapas, México. El objetivo fue descubrir el patrón de estas defunciones en los 18 municipios que integran la región Altos de Chiapas, misma que concentra la mayor población hablante de lengua indígena (PHLI) en el estado, a partir de indicadores como el Índice de Marginación (IM) y el Índice de Desarrollo Humano (PIB, Educación y Salud). Se realizó un estudio retrospectivo, descriptivo que tomó como fuentes secundarias las estadísticas de mortalidad del Sistema Nacional de Información en Salud (SINAIS), estadísticas vitales del INEGI y CONAPO. Se encontró que a nivel estatal, más del 50% (10 de los 18 municipios) de la Región de los Altos de Chiapas ocupan los últimos lugares en los índices de marginación y desarrollo humano y los primeros lugares según Tasa de Mortalidad Infantil (TMI); haciendo énfasis en la proporción de muertes evitables y sus causas. Se discuten en particular las brechas que existen entre los municipios que la integran y la necesidad de fortalecer las políticas públicas enfocadas al incremento del desarrollo humano particularmente en cinco municipios de la Región Altos de Chiapas.
其他摘要：The present article analyzes the behavior of childrens mortality according to the socioeconomical regions of Chiapas, Mexico. The objective was to discover the pattern of these deaths in these 18 municipalities that integrate the high region of Chiapas, this region concentrates the higher native speaking population (PHLI) in the state, from indicators as the Alienation Index (IM) and the Human Development Index (PIB, Education and Health). A retrospective descriptive study was carried out, that took as secondary sources the statistics of mortality of the National System of Health Information (SINAIS), vital statistics of the INEGI and CONAPO. It was found that at state level, more than the 50% (10 to 18 municipalities) of the high region of Chiapas occupy the last places in alienation and human development index and the first places according to the Children's Mortality Rates (TMI); emphasizing the proportion of avoidable deaths and their causes. The gaps are particularly discussed that exist among municipalities that integrate it and the need to fortify the public politics focused on the increment of the human development particularly in five municipalities of the high region of Chiapas.
