摘要：El repollo se ha convertido en corto tiempo en el segundo cultivo hortícola más importante de los campesinos indígenas en Los Altos de Chiapas. Es un sistema de alto uso de insumos que genera ingresos pero que también puede acarrear problemas ambientales, económicos y de salud. Pese a ello, no se han documentado las técnicas de cultivo, los problemas productivos y las soluciones que han emprendido los productores. A partir del análisis de una encuesta a productores de la región, se determinó que el sistema de producción presenta dos variantes en la escala de producción y experiencia del productor, y dos variantes en la estacionalidad y rentabilidad del cultivo; los cuales no constituyen distintos manejos de cultivo, a pesar de la variedad de combinaciones en las modalidades de las prácticas. Los principales problemas identificados por los productores son: Insectos plaga, falta de fertilidad en el suelo y enfermedades de la planta. Para mitigarlos se emplean, con frecuencia en forma inadecuada, diversos insumos industriales.
其他摘要：The cabbage crop there is become in a short time the second most important vegetable crop for the indigenous peasants at Los Altos de Chiapas. They have developed agricultural system based on high industrial inputs that generate cash income but that it also associated to environmental, economic and health problems. These productive techniques have not been documented nether problems and solutions that have taken by producers. The analysis of a survey applied to peasants of the region, showed that the cabbage production system displays two variants in the land size and producers experience with the crop, and two variants in the season and profitability of the culture. Yet, even the most contrasting conditions and modalities of the practices do not represent different agricultural systems. The main problems identified by the peasants were: pest attack, lack of soil fertility and diseases of the plant. In order to mitigate them they are misused or abused diverse industrial inputs.
