摘要：La conquista militar de la Pampa y la Patagonia por la Argentina, durante el siglo XIX, fue acompañada desde el plano imaginario por una construcción historiográfica funcional a ella. Analizamos una serie de debates historiográficos surgidos en los momentos de mayor discusión política sobre la frontera sur, entre 1810 y 1880. A través de ellos, explicamos el surgimiento del mito de la guerra fronteriza permanente, el olvido de la tradición y de la historia indígena y fronteriza, y la heroificación del general Roca como conquistador del “desierto”.
其他摘要：The military conquest of Pampas and Patagonia by Argentina, during XIXth century, were accompanied from the imaginary plane by a functional historical construction. We analyzed a series of historiographical debates arisen at the moments from greater political discussion on the South border, between 1810 and 1880. Through them, we explained the sprouting of the myth of the permanent border war, the forgetfulness of the tradition and of an indigenous and border history, and the making of general Roca as an hero and conqueror of the “desert”.
