摘要：En este artículo intentamos justificar la relación intrínseca entre texto/imagen en libros escolares que abordan la enseñanzaaprendizaje de la ciudad. Partimos de ciertas premisas teóricas para luego, indagar a través de principios de la metodología cualitativa, el valor del contenido icónico como soporte en la construcción de saberes, actitudes y sensibilidades. Consideramos que, una vez retenidas las imágenes en nuestra memoria se convierten en íconos interpretados cognitiva y emocionalmente con un lenguaje simbólico, semejante al de un contenido verbal. En conclusión, señalamos que existe ausencia y pobreza cualitativa en cuanto a la importancia de la imagen para analizar, criticar o reemplazar los significados textuales en los libros investigados
其他摘要：This article aims at justifying the inherent relationship text ¿ image in textbooks on teaching and learning about the city. We start with some theoretical premises and then, we inquire through principles of qualitative methodology, the value of the iconic content as a support in the construction of knowledge, attitudes and sensibilities. We consider that once images are recorded in memory become icons that can be interpreted in a cognitive and emotional way, through a symbolic language, similar to that of a verbal content. Finally, we observe that there is no qualitative poverty on the importance of image to analyze, criticize or replace textual meanings in the books surveyed
