摘要：Este artigo tem o objetivo de investigar qual o papel do teatro no processo de desenvolvimento psicológico infantil, buscando identificar quais aspectos do desen- volvimento estão presentes no fazer teatral. Foram rea- lizadas seis observações diretas entre o período de abril a setembro do ano de 2012 das atividades de um grupo de teatro com crianças entre sete e doze anos. Os parti- cipantes faziam parte de um projeto social desenvolvido por uma escola de teatro da cidade de Curitiba, Região Sul do Brasil. As categorias de análise selecionadas a partir dos conceitos propostos por Vygotsky foram: linguagem, signos, mediação, imitação, emoção, ativi- dade voluntária, apropriação de elementos culturais. Ao final do projeto foi observado que as categorias citadas anteriormente estão presentes nas atividades teatrais ofe- recendo assim, subsídios que possibilitam e estimulam desenvolvimento psicológico do sujeito podendo ser entendido como mediador no processo de constituição do ser humano.
其他摘要：This article aims to investigate the role of theater in children’s psychological development, seeking to in- vestigate which developmental aspects are present in the act of making theater. Six observations were made between April and September in the year of 2012 of the activities in a theater group for children aged from seven to twelve years old. The participants are part of a social project developed by a theater school in the town of Curitiba, Southern Brazil. The categories of analysis chosen from the concepts proposed by Vygotsky were: language, signs, mediation, imitation, emotion, volun- tary activities, appropriation of cultural elements. By the end of the project it was observed that the theater provi- des means that make several psychological development aspects possible for the individual, which therefore can be understood as a mediator in the process of constitution of the human being.
