摘要：Se realizó un estudio para comparar la actitud de jóvenes, hombres y mujeres, mexicanos hacia los límites sociales, definidos como las reglas, valores y leyes que se ubican en el ámbito de la normatividad social. Se trabajó con una muestra de 293 estudiantes entre los 12 y los 20 años de edad de diversas escuelas ubicadas en el valle de Toluca, aplicando la versión mexicana del instrumento de reacción estándar (Rink, Vos, Van Lokven y Slagveer, 1989). Los resultados muestran que, tanto los hombres como las mujeres, tienden en su mayoría a acatar los límites sociales, pero que existen diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre ambos grupos: en las mujeres se observó una mayor inclinación a ajustarse a los límites y a negociar, mientras que los hombres expresaron una mayor propensión a transgredir. Se concluye que los hallazgos reflejan de manera parcial las características de la socialización y los roles de género en el ámbito familiar en el contexto mexicano.
其他摘要：A study was carried out to compare the attitude of female and male youngsters towards social limits, which are defined as the set of rules, values and laws in the domain of the establishment of social norms. The sample consisted of 293 students aged 12 to 20 years from several schools located in the valley of Toluca, administering the Mexican version of the Standard Reaction Instrument (Rink, Vos, Van Lokven y Slagveer, 1989). The results show that the majority of both men and women tend to respect social limits, but that statistically significant differences exist between both groups: in the females a greater tendency to adjust to social limits and to negotiate was observed, whereas the males expressed a major propensity to limit overstepping. It is concluded that the findings partially reflect the characteristics of socialization and gender roles in the Mexican context.
