Modeled after nonformal education teehníque called the "reading circle", which was developed by Freire ror literacy campaigns in Tbird World countries, this methodology is appropriate for developing culturally-sensitlve educatiooal material. and effecting behavior change among individuals with Iíttle or no formal educatíon: it tends to be more effeetive in modifying behavior than traditional methods of health education.
