其他摘要:The issue of the alleged relation between food additivea and sueroee ingestion in the exacerbation of hyperkinetic behavíor in cbildren il reviewed. The emphasis throughout it is on clinical controlled studiea in which a variety of methodological safeguards have been used, Resultl suggest that although the correlational studies tend lo support a positive relationship between such substances and hiperactivity, the more Itringentstudies (placebo controlled) yield conflicting and many negative results. Even in those studies in which the investigators confirmed a relationship, it was usually weak and inconsistent across subjects. Different explanatíons for these results are díscussed and suggestions for future research are offered
