其他摘要：Some selected contríbutions of psychology to the study of social issues carried out by Díaz-Guerrero and his associates are presented. It is emphasized that psychology in Latín America gives great importante 10 practical concerns. The National Institute of Behavioral Science and Public Attitude (Mexico) has done a number of scientific projeets, in educational psychology and social psychology. They investigated Sesame Street and its possible presentation in Mexico; two large studies (Formative research, and Summative research) were carried out, with several derivaded investigations. Later on, the teacher´s attítudes toward thetr profession were studied, More recently a volume on innovations in education was published. Another line of research is centered on family planning; factors associated with attitudes toward fertilily were explored, using Triandís and Fishbein models. Finally, ethnopsychology is considered by the author as his main theoretical ínterest, with great implications for social psychology in the Third World
