其他摘要：The implications of the dual role of women in contemporary socíety, as a wage-eamer and as a housekeeper, are studied. Two groups of women, 150 each, middle elass and working class, were investigated. Instrumenta were a "Scale of Dual Role" developed for the present research project: Locke and WalIace (1959) Scale of Marital Adjustment: and a ScaIe of Occupational Health. Results indicate that women sufier from chronic overload, This ineludes constant physical and mental tiredeness, ínsomnía, feelings of loneliness, depressíon, and sexual and marital diffieulties. The social implications of this situations are pointed out
