其他摘要:This paper points out the difficulties of translating and standardizing several tests of verbal and general ability, specific aptitudes and personality inventories. The problems are mainly Iinguistic. They indude difficulties in correct translation and varying frequency of use in the different languages. A number of examples are given of responses to items by normals and psychiatric patients in Argentina. Because of the many problems involved, the suggestion is made that serious considerations be given to the construction of a new type of instrument. References are made to the work of Dunker, Bloom, Píaget and Rimoldi ho emphasize the study of processes rather than produces. The methodology presented by Rimoldi appears to be more devoid of cultural biases and should have greater usefulness in cross cultural studies.
