Para esto explora, en primer lugar, el vínculo encontrado por Walter Benjamin entre l'art pour l'art y la "estetización de la política", para después contrastarlo con la "política de la estética" y la "estética de la política", que Jacques Rancière ubica en el centro de la discusión de lo que él llama la "división de lo sensible". El texto señala que una estética autónoma y autorreferencial conduce a una política estetizada, mientras que una estética intrínsecamente política ilumina el potencial liberador del arte.

To achieve this, it first explores the link found by Walter Benjamin between llart pour l'art and the "aestheticization of politics."
