摘要：Os distúrbios vestibulares (relacionados ao equilíbrio corporal e audição) são comuns na população, sobretudo entre idosos. Avaliou-se a prevalência de queixas vestibulares numa população constituída de 158 pós-graduandos lato senso (124 mulheres e 34 homens), com idades entre 20 e 62 anos, por meio de um questionário semi-aberto. As queixas mais prevalentes foram cefaleia, dores musculares e cervicais, redução da concentração e memória, tontura e redução da audição. Outros sintomas foram relatados com distribuição variável entre homens e mulheres. Além do desconforto, essas alterações vestibulares prejudicam as atividades pessoais e profissionais desses adultos em fase produtiva da vida.
其他摘要：Vestibular disorders (related to body balance and hearing) are common mainly among the elderly population. This study analyzed the prevalence of vestibular complaints in a population made up of 158 lato sensu postgraduate students (124 women and 34 men) aged between 20 and 62 years old through a semi-open questionnaire. The most prevalent complaints were headaches, muscular and cervical pains, reduction in concentration and memory, dizziness, and decreased hearing. Other symptoms were reported with variable distribution between men and women. As well as the discomfort, these vestibular alterations affect personal and professional activities of adults in their productive phase of life.
