摘要：El presente trabajo analiza los factores explicativos de la felicidad de los españoles. Los resultados son en general consistentes con lo establecido por la literatura disponible. Los divorciados y los viudos son más infelices que los casados y lo mismo ocurre con los desempleados cuando se comparan con los empleados. La felicidad aumenta con la renta de forma decreciente y la salud tiene una notable incidencia en la felicidad. Expectativas positivas aumentan la felicidad y el optimismo y el progreso económico también tienen un efecto positivo y significativo sobre la felicidad. Respecto al capital social, tener confianza en los demás aparece relacionado positivamente con la felicidad y los individuos que tienen mayor confianza en las instituciones tienden a sentirse más felices, especialmente en el caso de las grandes empresas. Respecto a la ética personal, los que rechazan comportamientos menos honestos, como por ejemplo defraudar en materia de impuestos o el soborno, tienden a mostrarse más felices.
其他摘要：This paper analyses determinants of happiness among Spanish people. The results are consistent with previous findings in the literature. The divorced and the widowed are much less happy than married people and the same thing happens with the unemployed with respect to the employed. Happiness increases with income (at a decreasing rate) and is positively related with good health. Positive expectations tend to make people happier, as well as optimism and economic progress. With respect to social capital, we find that those who say they trust others, in general, are significantly happier than those with less trust. Similar positive effects are shown with respect to the trust in some institutions. In particular, trust in large firms seems to increase individuals' happiness substantially. Personal ethics also show some effects. Specifically, those who reject dishonest behaviour, such as tax evasion or bribery, appear to be happier than others.
