摘要：La importancia de las inversiones directas exteriores en los Países Industriales se está viendo erosionada a favor de los Países en Desarrollo. Por ello, el objetivo del presente trabajo es determinar si existen características empresariales que tengan un impacto en la decisión de este destino. Los resultados principales indican que las empresas españolas de la muestra con un mayor grado de diversificación internacional, que tienen una mayor disponibilidad de recursos intangibles y un mayor tamaño, todo ello con respecto a su sector, tienden a localizar sus inversiones en países en desarrollo. Por el contrario, se ha observado que la presencia anterior en el país de destino tiene un impacto mayor cuando se invierte en un país industrial.
其他摘要：The importance of Foreign Direct Investments in Developed Countries is being eroded in favor of Developing Countries. Against this background, the aim of this paper is to determine the existence of firms' characteristics that have an impact on the decision concerning the location of foreign investments. The main results show that those Spanish firms in the sample with a higher degree of international diversification, a greater availability of intangible resources, and a larger size with respect to the firms of the same sector, tend locate their investments in Developing Countries. By contrast, we have observed that a previous presence in the host country has a greater impact when the firm invests in a Developed Country.
