摘要：Muchos textos de psicología social consideran que esta disciplina es una rama de la psicología. Sin embargo, un análisis de sus orígenes y evolución demuestra que la psicología social se originó tanto en la psicología como en la sociología. Inicialmente, durante las primeras décadas del siglo XX, fueron más los textos de psicología social escritos por sociólogos que por psicólogos, si bien con el transcurrir del tiempo la tendencia se ha ido invirtiendo. Este cambio de orientación tiene una explicación en la influencia que ejerció en el desarrollo de la disciplina la publicación, en 1924, del libro de Floyd Allport Social psychology. Asimismo, a partir de los años treinta, el declinar de la Escuela de Chicago dentro de la propia sociología y el auge del funcionalismo fueron otros de los motivos del menor peso de una perspectiva sociológica en el desarrollo de la psicología social. El análisis histórico de esta área de conocimiento revela que tenemos que diferenciar entre una psicología social psicológica y una psicología social sociológica.
其他摘要：There are many textbooks in which social psychology is considered a branch of psychology. An analysis of the origins and evolution of social psychology shows us that it emerged within psychology and sociology alike. Initially, during the early decades of the 20th century, there were more social psychology texts written by sociologists than by psychologists, but this tendency has gradually inverted throughout the decades that followed up until the present. This change was influenced by Floyd Allport with the publication of his Social psychology in 1924. On the other hand, the decline of the Chicago School during the 1930s within psychology itself and the increasing importance of functionalism within sociology, were also responsible for the decline of a sociological perspective within social psychology. The historical analysis of this field reveals that we have to differentiate at least between a psychological and a sociological social psychology.
