摘要：O presente artigo propõe uma tipologia de nacionalismos que distingue entre os nacionalistas extrovertidos, que vêm positivamente as relações das nações com outras nações, e os nacionalistas introvertidos, i.e., aqueles que assumem que as relações com as outras nações são inerentemente conflituosas. O artigo enumera, também, as semelhanças e as diferenças entre as tipologias introvertida/extrovertida e as que distinguem entre nacionalismo cívico e étnico. Para ilustrar a relevância desta tipologia o artigo analisa os discursos de dois partidos conservadores, o Partido Popular espanhol (PP) e o Lei e Justiça polaco (PiS). Em ambos os países os processos de adesão à União Europeia e a devolução de poderes para regiões sub-estatais levaram à transferência de poderes soberanos no interior e para além do Estado, forçando os partidos conservadores a reformar as narrativas introvertidas sobre a nação.
其他摘要：This article proposes a typology of nationalism that distinguishes between extroverted nationalists, who view positively the nation's relations with other nations, and introverted nationalists, i.e., nationalists who assume that relations with other nations are inherently ridden with conflicts. The article also points to the commonalities and differences between the introverted/extroverted typology and the distinction between civic/modernist and ethnic/perennial nationalism. To illustrate the relevance of the typology, the article analyzes the discourses of two conservative parties, the Popular Party (PP) in Spain and the Law and Justice party (PiS) in Poland. In both countries the parallel processes of European accession and the devolution of powers to sub-state regions forced the transfers of sovereign powers within and beyond the state, forcing conservative parties to reform nationalism along the extroverted/introverted axis.
