El artículo trata sobre el desarrollo de la antropología de la educación en España que, si bien es relativamente reciente, se caracteriza por un considerable incremento -sobre todo en los últimos 15 años- del número de trabajos de investigación, de la bibliografía y de los foros científicos en donde se puede reflexionar socioantropológicamente acerca de cuestiones educativas. Se argumenta asimismo que, en dicho desarrollo, se ha privilegiado el estudio de la diversidad y las minorías étnico-nacionales, y que la inclusión de una asignatura obligatoria de antropología de la educación en el plan de estudios de la carrera de Pedagogía, entre otros factores, ha cumplido un papel relevante.

The article focuses on the development of anthropology of education in Spain, and, although the anthropology of education has had a relatively recent history, it is characterized by a considerable increment (above all in the last 15 years) of the number of the research works that are being carried out, the bibliography as well as the scientific forums where socio-anthropological ideas, concerning education issues, can take place. It also argues that, within such development, the thematic related to diversity and ethno-national minorities has had primacy and, on the other hand, it has also been very relevant -among other factors- the inclusion of the subject anthropology of education as a compulsory one in the pedagogy degree program.
