摘要：Este ensaio visa debater um género cinematográfico que tem sido discutido no âmbito do cinema inglês (mas não só), o heritage film, incidindo no modo como este tem projetado uma imagem particular da Inglaterra e da sociedade inglesa. Pretende-se questionar a projeção para o mundo de uma certa imagem da identidade inglesa fundada na ideia nostálgica do Império. Neste sentido, incidir-se-á sobre a forma como muitos dos filmes produzidos ou co-produzidos em Inglaterra nos últimos trinta a quarenta anos fazem uso do património cultural (arquitetónico, natural, histórico) do país, perpetuando uma certa ideia nostálgica daquilo que constitui a identidade inglesa e ajudando a promover essa ideia do país no exterior, algo que é também aproveitado pela indústria turística.
其他摘要：This paper aims to discuss a film genre that has been debated in the context of British film (but not only), the 'heritage film', focusing on how it has projected a particular image of England and of English society. We intend to question the projection for the world of a specific image of English identity founded on the nostalgic idea of the Empire. In this sense, focus will be on the way many of the films produced or co-produced in England in the last thirty to forty years make use of the country's cultural heritage (architectural, natural, historical), perpetuating a certain nostalgic idea of what English identity is and helping to promote this idea of the country abroad, something that is also utilized by the tourism industry.
