摘要：Macroscaphites soaresi (Da Silva 1962) is described from the Lower Aptian of southern Mozambique and northern KwaZulu. Macroscaphites and Costidiscus are regarded as a dimorphic pair. Apart from dubious records from Antarctica, these are the only records of Macroscaphites/Costidiscus from the southern hemisphere.
