O estudo em questão objetiva discutir a dança como conteúdo estruturante nas Diretrizes Curriculares da Educação Básica do Paraná (DCE) a fim de apontar avanços e limites, bem como potencializar reflexões que contribuam com a prática pedagógica do professor. Por meio da análise das diretrizes curriculares, desde sua concepção, em 2003, até seu processo de reformulações, foi possível identificar carências e potencialidades do documento oficial para o ensino da referida manifestação. A análise desse documento poderá subsidiar a Secretaria de Estado da Educação (SEED) com vistas ao aperfeiçoamento da proposta que orienta a ação docente na escola, assim como contribuir com o trabalho do professor, uma vez que ele é impelido a ser co-partícipe, intervindo em sua estruturação.

This study aims to discuss the issue in dance as structuring content of the Basic Education Curriculum Guidelines of Paraná (DCE) to indicate progress and limits, as well as enhance reflections that contribute to the pedagogical practice of teachers. Through analysis of the Curriculum Guidelines, since its conception, in 2003, until the process of reformulation, it was possible to identify needs and potential of the official document for the teaching of the manifestation. The analysis of this document was made to subside the Ministry of Education (SEED) towards in improvement of the proposal that guides the teaching in school as well as assisting with the work of the teacher, since he is compelled to be a co-participant, intervening in their structure.
