In the last years the world and the Brazilian economy have been changing deeply. Fusions, acquisitions and strategic alliances are multiplying everywhere. Most ot these changes are related with deep modifications in the value systems, aftecting all industries. The search for competitiveness is more and more concerned with the search for the optimal systemic beyond organizational frontiers. Within this context, logistics management gains a new dimension, encompassing the integration of all activities related to the value system, from raw materials to the final customer. The main objective of this paper is to review the logistical management after all these changes, focusing on supply chain management methodology.
