Son cada vez más los trabajos encaminados a estudiar la respuesta inmune frente a la infección por virus dengue y el papel que pudiera desempeñar esta en la patogénesis de la fiebre hemorrágica del dengue. En este trabajo se estudió la respuesta de memoria de células T humanas en individuos con antecedentes de infección por dengue en la epidemia cubana, para una evaluación posterior de la antigenicidad de proteínas virales. Para esto se incubaron células mononucleares de sangre periférica de indivudos inmunes a dengue y un grupo de individuos controles con antígenos virales. Se obtuvo una respuesta proliferativa significativa de linfocitos de individuos con antecedentes de infección frente al virus dengue 2 con respecto a individuos controles. Se comprobó de esta forma la respuesta de memoria de células T CD4+ específicas al virus dengue en los individuos estudiados.

Papers dealing with the study of the immune response to dengue virus infection and with the role it may play in the pathogenesis of dengue hemorraghic fever are increasingly important. The memory human T cell response in individuals with history of dengue infection during the Cuban epidemic was studied in this paper for a further evaluation of the antigenicity of viral proteins. To this end, mononuclear cells of peripheral blood from individuals immune to dengue and from a group of control subjects with viral antigens were incubated. It was obtained a significant proliferative response of lymphocytes from individuals with history of infection against dengue virus type 2 compared with control subjects. It was proved this way the dengue virus-specific memory T CD4+ cell response in the individuals under study.
