Discorre sobre a política editorial, como se concretiza e quais suas peculiaridades em contexto específico de instituições de ensino superior (IESs) no Brasil. Conjuga o que oferece a literatura especializada com a observação sobre as práticas e saberes nas IESs brasileiras. Conclui que a diversidade de modos de articulação enseja propostas editoriais alternativas, tendo como pano de fundo as estruturas e como fatores de mobilização o conjunto de forças e problemas e os avanços da tecnologia relacionados à produção editorial.

This work deals with publishing policy, considering how it is done and which aspects should be taken into consideration in the specific context of higher education institutions in Brazil. It considers what is available about this theme on the literature and the observation of the practices and knowledges. It is concluded that the diversity in modes of articulation can convey alternative publishing propositions having the structures as the backgound and conjunction of forces and problems, as well as the advances of production technologies, as mobilization factors.
