Este artículo examina el proceso de construcción de las estructuras de poder institucional en la campaña bonaerense entre 1785 y 1836. Este proceso fue parte central de la formación del nuevo estado provincial y se expresó en su creciente ramificación territorial y la centralización de los mecanismos de ejercicio del poder. El estudio ha diferenciado tres estructuras de poder institucional -la eclesiástica, la militar/miliciana y la judicial/policial- y ha analizado y comparado sus desarrollos. Este procedimiento comparativo muestra procesos regionales diferentes y ritmos desiguales de despliegue de cada estructura de poder. El análisis pone de relieve la importancia de los pueblos rurales desde los cuales se fue organizando el poder institucional.

This article examines the process of construction of the institutional powers structures in the Buenos Aires campaign between 1785 and 1836. This process was a central part of the formation of the new provincial state and it was expressed in a increasing territorial expansion and in the centralization of the mechanisms of exercise of power. The study has differentiated three structures of institutional power -the ecclesiastic, the military and the judicial- and has analyzed and compared its developments. This comparative procedure shows diferents regional processes and unequal rates of spreading of each power structure. The analysis puts of relief the importance of the rural towns from which the institutional power started to organize.
