Con la caída de Rosas, se abrió la posibilidad de retomar el proyecto de implementación de las estructuras administrativas propias del Estado liberal en la Provincia de Buenos Aires. Con este espíritu, se reestablecieron los juzgados en primera instancia de la campaña en el fuero criminal. Mediante el estudio de la reglamentación que los rigió, su implementación, y la práctica del juzgado de la jurisdicción sur, radicado en Dolores, este artículo estudia las dificultades y los lentos logros en la implementación de una nueva práctica jurídica en la frontera sur de Buenos Aires en esta etapa. El trabajo incluye un análisis cuantitativo de los juicios tramitados en este juzgado durante el período en consideración.

With Rosas' downfall, a new possibility for the implementation of the project to establish the administrative structures that characterize the liberal State emerged in the province of Buenos Aires. With this intention, the first instance criminal courts were established in rural areas. Through the study of the norms that ruled them, their implementation, and the juridical practice of the Court of the Southern Jurisdiction, sited in Dolores, this paper studies the difficulties and slow achievements in the establishment of a new juridical practice in the southern frontier of Buenos Aires during this stage. The paper includes a quantitative analysis of the processes administered by the Court during the period under consideration.
